If you make a proposal below the displayed sale price, prepare your argument carefully. A downward offer can be justified by proven defects, but there must be some and you must point them out. Depending on whether you buy between individuals or through an intermediary, discussions with the seller are done respectively by yourself or through your intermediary, until a possible agreement is reached. In order to find an agreement, your offer to purchase must be reasonable and in accordance with the value of the property, i.e. up to the prices prevailing on the market in the same geographical area for the same type of property and, if possible, at the same time.
