Fast fashion e-retailer Shein will support COVID-19 relief with a four- hour digital events. Katy Perry and Lil Nas X will co-headline the “virtual showcase”, which will combine music with fashion and trendy.
It will be beginning at 1 p.m. PT on 9th May, and viewers can log in via the Shein phone app and watch the virtual show. Besides perry and Lil Nas X, Rita ora and Doja Cat have also been allowed to perform. This showcase is like more than a virtual concert, however with Shein to curating special appearances from influencers and stars TikTok. The viewers can take beauty tutorials and style lessons.
“As a global brand, we know this crisis has affected all communities, consumers, and their families and we could not help”. Said by co-founder Molly Miao. “Additionally to our efforts in the donation of masks to those on the frontlines internationally, we want to make sure our viewers understand the importance of supporting this cause, that’s why we came up with the idea to host “Shein Together.”
The money gathered by Shein will support the World Health Organisation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund Powered by the United Nations Foundation. On of the retailer has committed $100,000 and have collected $10 #Sheintogather shirts that will further help raise money for that gathering fund. You can also find a donation link via the app.
