Poco M2 Pro is said to run as “gram”. This new development comes just a day after Poco M2 Pro appeared on Xiaomi India’s RF exposure page, along with the recently released Mi 10 5G. The new Poco phone is unlikely to be a pioneer of the brand that broke with Xiaomi earlier this year. Instead, it’s supposed to be another mid-range smartphone, after the Poco X2. Little M2 Pro may have some similarities with the Redmi Note 9 Pro that Xiaomi launched in India in March.
With the model number M2003J6CI, the Poco M2 Pro was developed with a gram codename, reports XDA Developers, citing two forum members. The model number in question is similar to the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which Xiaomi lists as M2003J6A1I. According to reports, an XDA forum member also discovered the firmware for a template called cryptonym “gram_in_global”. This indicates the Indian alternative to the advertised small phone.
Similar to Redmi Note 9 Pro
Some references to code grams of the phone have been reported in Redmi Note 9 Pro core and firmware. This indicates similarities with the new Redmi phone. Furthermore, both the Redmi Note 9 Pro and the new Poco phone are believed to have the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC.
From what we’ve seen in the past, specifically with the launch of the Poco X2, which is just a new chance for the Redmi K30, Poco can bring the Poco M2 Pro with slightly modified hardware from the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
Poco has not yet confirmed Poco M2 Pro. However, since the phone was spotted on the RF exposure page at Xiaomi in India, the brand is likely to announce this announcement soon.
Poco did not make any claims through Poco M2 Pro. However, because the cell phone notices the website for radiofrequency promotion on the Xiaomi India website, there is no doubt that the model can make its announcement quickly.
