Sega has revealed the exact boot and preload times for the popular Phantasy Star Online 2 MMORPG (PC version) released in North America. According to a Twitter post from the official PSO2 account, May 26th at 11:00 pm.
PT players can start downloading and installing games from the Windows Store. If it looks like it’s in the pre-load period on Xbox One, when I launch the game it doesn’t show the active server and I can’t create and play characters even if I open the game in the main menu.
However, after only 6 hours, you can officially dive into PSO2 and play on your PC from 5 am. May 27, PT just after scheduled server maintenance. It’s an early release moment!
Sega did a decent job of porting a complex user interface to the Xbox game console, but uses a keyboard and mouse to play MMOs when possible.
PSO2 focuses on lobbying rather than the large open world of connected areas like many other MMOs. Players connect with other players in the central gathering area, from there to expeditions and missions to bite-sized procedural zones with more action and less exposure. Combat is like Devil May Cry or Monster Hunter.
Phantasy Star Online 2 was released for the first time since the official release of the open beta on North America’s Xbox One on April 15 and has been running since then. PSO2 focuses on lobbying, rather than a large open world of connected areas like many other MMOs.
Players connect with other players in the central rally area, from there to expeditions and missions to bite-sized procedural zones that require a lot of action and little exposure. Combat is like Devil May Cry or Monster Hunter.
PSO2 on your PC takes just a few hours to boot. So you don’t have to wait that long to dive like a new ARK and eliminate all fake spawns in the galaxy.
