Hulu has bought the rights to Rodham, the latest novel by Curtis Sittenfeld. This book takes place in a world where Hillary Rodham had never married Bill Clinton, the story has changed.
The series is said to show Hillary Clinton’s most idealistic days at Wellesley College. There she became the first female student at an all-female student institution to speak at her graduation. She attends Yale Law School to study and meet Bill Clinton, who becomes her husband and future President of the United States.
However, the series will follow and visualize the Rodham book and alternative routes where Hillary will not marry Bill Clinton. Instead, he makes his political path out of Clinton’s shadow with a run for the presidency even before 2008. He has also worked on the acclaimed political thriller House of Cards, the drama series In Treatment, and the comedy-drama How to Make It America. Fox will control 21 series of television studios; Littlefield is under general agreement with the banner.
Rodham by Curtis Sitinfeld was published in May 2020 and became a New York Times bestseller. The author’s other books include Prep, The Man of My Dreams, American Wife, Sisterland, Worthy, and You Think It, I’ll See It.
In March 2020, he released a four-part documentary, Hilary. It shows his 2016 presidential campaign and also events from his past that have shaped his life. Rodham’s official release date has yet to be announced.
