The events that unfolded on the sixth of January were quite shocking. Indeed, storming the Capitol building is practically unheard of in this modern-day and age of democracy and Grande Vegas Casino Bonuses. However, should the events that transpired be so surprising? No, it shouldn’t have. In fact, if you actually examine the protesters and what they argue, it should have been downright obvious that it was going to occur.
My goal here is to breakdown the event of Wednesday, the sixth of January, 2020, so that we all can understand why it happened. I’m not condoning the violence, but I think I understand pretty well why it happened.
The Storm
So in case you somehow missed it, here’s what went down:
On the sixth of January, a group of people known as the “Electors” from every State, meet in the country’s Capitol to hand over their electoral vote to the candidate that their State voted for. Protesters in support of President Donald Trump gathered in Washington to demonstrate because they believe (and I tend to agree with them on this) that there was evidence of voter fraud in several key swing states, whose votes were not verified or audited satisfactorily. The protesters wanted Congress to halt the counting of the votes and take action against the states that refused to do a proper audit of the ballots in their states.
Inside the halls of Congress, the members debated on whether or not to delay the proceedings, and Vice President Mike Pence decided not to allow congressional members to object to the various electoral votes. Republican Congressmen such as Lindsey Graham even argued that “Enough was enough” and that it was time to recognize Biden as the winner.
As news of what was happening inside the halls of Congress began to leak out, the protest turned violent. Protesters clashed with the police, and they even stormed the Capital building. One woman was shot and killed.
Now, there are rumors that the violence was instigated by left-wing activists, but that’s far from confirmed. There was at least one member of Antifa / BLM who made public posts of himself disguised as a Trump supporter and roaming the halls of the Capitol Building. He has since been arrested and detained. However, was the entire incident instigated by Antifa? That remains unknown, but I think it’s believable that America’s ring wing faction was angry enough to storm the capital regardless.
Rising Action
So what built up the tension to this boiling point? Well, where do I begin?
Let’s start with the gorge that’s been dug between the Establishment and the working class.
The left likes to pretend that it’s the party of the people by praising anyone with a high melanin content and jumping on the bandwagon of any trendy, progressive issue that they think will get them votes. Let’s take the issue of Gay Marriage: Democrats were against it until President Obama was suddenly for it. In fact, the left likes to ignore the fact that Donald Trump was the first president that started his term in office in support of it and was the first President to have an openly gay man in his cabinet. A right-winger.
Yet, right wingers are still constantly demonized as Racist, Sexist, Homophobic, and just about every other “ist” and “ic” in the book. The Establishment has no fear of calling nearly fifty percent of the country (over seventy million people) “Bigots”, “Deplorables”, and even “Nazis”.
Speaking of which, that “Deplorables” comment was made by Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton’s beloved mentor was Robert Byrd. Robert Byrd was a Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan. I bethink there’s some projection going on.
Unfortunately, it’s not just the swamp – I mean, the Establishment that talks this way about millions of people. It’s constant. Mainstream Media organizations like CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, The New York Times, the Guardian, NPR, the BBC, and nearly every other mainstream media outlet treat the left wing as saints and the rightwing as disgusting. Even Fox News is nowhere near as right wing as it claims to be. I would bet money that Tucker Carlson only has a job because he gets record-breaking ratings.
“Politics is Upstream from Culture”, said Andrew Breitbart, and it’s true.
Hollywood and Television are dominated by the left. When was the last time you saw a movie which depicted communists or China as the bad guys? How about this, when has an extreme left-wing worldview improved a franchise? It didn’t work for Star Wars. It didn’t work for Star Trek. Terminator. Ghostbusters. Mulan. Batwoman. The list goes on.
Sports and Companies support groups like Antifa, BLM and even go to bat for China while ignoring the fact that such groups lie, cheat, steal, and even murder. The NFL and the NBA’s ratings are at record lows and still dropping. Somehow, advertising groups for companies like Gillette think that accusing their primary customers of “toxic masculinity” will improve their sales?
Learning is a vital skill. Education, meanwhile, is an awful institution. While Public Schools have to at least pretend to be objective, Universities are horrendously left-wing. Ask any right winger that has tried to speak at UC Berkley in the past ten years. Not just students but teachers and professors participate in violent riots and protests against those they disagree with. We laugh at subjects like Gender Studies, but unfortunately, people who genuinely believe in that nonsense end up on committees that go after rape accusations- and end up ruining lives without any due process.
Look at all the “authoritative sources” that big tech pushes, like The Young Turks, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan, Bill Mahers- all left wing. Speaking of big tech, let’s talk censorship.
Conservatives are regularly banned, blocked, shadowbanned, and suppressed on social media. Vague hate speech guidelines are arbitrarily used to ban unwanted viewpoints. Fact Checkers find minuscule reasons to label right wing posts as false while labeling left wing lies as true because the poster did, in fact, post those words. When an unfavorable news story to the left gets posted, like Hunter Biden’s laptop, it gets struck down. By the seventh of January, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, was suspended for twelve hours on Twitter when trying to calm the violence and indefinitely banned on FaceBook.
I could quote you, George Orwell, on the dangers of censorship, but I’ll leave you with a quote of my own:
Censorship is like getting kicked in the balls. You’ll laugh when it happens to someone you don’t like, but you wouldn’t like it if someone did it to you.
So when the media, the education system, entertainment, big tech, and the Establishment are as blue as salt-water and actively attacking them, is it any wonder that Right Wingers don’t feel like their voices are represented?
The Election
Now we get to the straw that broke the camel’s back: The 2020 Election.
Never in my life have I seen a campaign season that was as polarized as this one was. Here’s how it played out from a right wing perspective:
The Democratic Primary was a mudslinging contest, where the delirious old man somehow came out on top. The more reasonable candidates such as Tulsi Gabbard were drowned out by, the more far left options, such as Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, and, of course, Joe Biden himself.
It seemed like the right had this election in the bag as soon as Biden was picked. Biden, the creepy old man who can be found in videos and photographs being way too, ah, familiar with children. Joe Biden, the man so likable that Obama refused to endorse him until the last minute. Joe Biden: the candidate accused by his running mate of being a racist. Joe Biden, the intellectual powerhouse that gave us these intrepid quotes:
Needless to say, the right did not find him a very impressive opponent. This was all the more exacerbated when videos and photos of campaign rallies were released, showing tiny, barely filled rooms of people with little to no enthusiasm. Videos got dropped of Biden telling his own supporters to vote for Trump or calling them things like “lying dog faced Pony Soldier”.
By comparison, Trump filled football stadiums with tens of thousands of people, regularly across the country, and often had to turn people away due to capacity limits.
Then the BIG story dropped. Hunter Biden’s laptop was discovered, containing hundreds, if not thousands of incriminating photographs, emails, and God-knows-what else. The evidence inside alleged that Hunter Biden worked as a sort of middle-man, collecting money from foreign sources across the globe, with ten percent going to the “Big Man”, who is probably Joe Biden himself.
Now that might not seem like enough evidence to you – well, then how about this: There is video footage of Joe Biden bragging about strong-arming the Ukrainian Government into firing a prosecutor that was investigating Hunter Biden’s ties to Burisma (one of the many companies Hunter was collecting millions of dollars from).
So when Joe Biden won the election, was it any wonder that many on the right suspected foul play?
And there IS evidence of foul play.
Project Veritas released evidence a couple of weeks ago that led to the arrest of a woman who is being charged with voter fraud for illegal ballot harvesting. She faces up to twenty years in prison.
So yeah, when right wingers demand an audit to determine which votes are legally valid, they have reason and evidence. It’s astounding that Trump’s Legal team failed so miserably at getting to trial, after case after case was thrown out. Most shocking was that even the Attorney General of Texas sued the State of Pennsylvania over this, and the Supreme Court refused to hear the case.
They didn’t disprove the allegations of fraud or foul play – they just refused to hear the case.
So is it any wonder that Trump supporters are angry? They’re tired of being attacked, tired of elitist politicians who say one thing while doing another. They’re tired of politicians breaking the rules and getting away with crimes. They’re tired of being gaslit by the media over the truth.
And the fact that it’s taken this long to boil over is a testament to the character of the right wing. So is civil war a possibility? Allow me to be crystal clear:
If we’re not careful, it’s almost a certainty.
