A nifty Shaman guide through Shadowlands!
Area of Effect damage is one of the most crucial considerations when choosing a build in World of Warcraft–especially these days when players consider it as a premium in Shadowlands. And no other specialization shines brighter than the Elemental Shaman. Despite the changes, particularly the loss of the azerite traits, that somewhat nerfed the Elemental Shaman, it still excels at channeling damage toward a single for—even in the presence of other targets.
Before you head off looking for cheap WoW gold, here’s a nifty guide to help you with the Elemental Shaman. Hopefully, you’ll be able to pick up a few essential tricks as you journey through Azeroth.
We’ll go by levels with our recommendations here. While Earthen Rage and Static Discharge are by no means bad, we’ll have to give Echo of Elements the nod at level 15. By the time you reach level 25, you can pretty much choose anything from Aftershock to Echoing Shock or Elemental Blast. Level 30 is a different case though as the Spirit Wolf is obviously head and shoulders above the other choices. Level 35 belongs to the Master of Elements. At 40, it’s a toss-up between Nature’s Guardian or Ancestral Guidance as you can’t go wrong either way. At level 45, it’s the same scenario between Primal Elementalist and Icefury. By the time you reach level 50, you’d do well to go with Stormkeeper.
Of course, a player’s choice of gear has the potential to either make or break a build. With that being said, it’s ideal for players to go with a mix of tier 2.5 or Bloodvine 3-set piece to go along with the top off-set pieces for each of the available slots. With Bloodvine’s high damage output and er 2.5’s superior stamina, you’ll be sure to make easy pickings out of foes you encounter on the battlefield.
As with any other build in World of Warcraft, it’s all about being efficient with your stat points. While we don’t necessarily want you to be stingy, we don’t want you to allocate them wantonly either! As a general rule of thumb, it’s wise to follow this formula: Prioritize Intellect over Crit while giving it equal importance to Versatility which is more important than Mastery.
Of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t at least tackle a few of the possible downsides to this otherwise awesome build. In Shadowlands, players don’t necessarily have a reference to help them move from one point to the next. In addition, the suvivability isn’t all that impressive and the single-target damage output isn’t really something to brag about—at least at the beginning of the Shadowlands expansion.
Other than that, you’re sure to have a fun time dishing out damage on the battlefield as naturally as you buy WoW gold when it’s a bargain!
Now that you’ve brushed up on the things you need to know, there’s only one thing left to do: Go out there and kick major behind with the Elemental Shaman DPS. With a little time and practice, you’ll surely master the many facets of this wonderful build–you may even rake in tons of WoW gold and awesome WoW items in the process!
