The error message mentions that this kernel has an unsupported protocol. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it could be something you don’t want to run on your computer. I’d like to see this error message go away because I think it is one of those things that is easily overlooked and is a little frustrating.

The protocol error is a big one, and it would be a much better idea not to run this kernel on your computer because it would cause major problems and you’d have to think about it.

On the bright side, it would be a good idea to check to see if you have the correct kernel version installed. To do this, open up the system preferences window. Go to the “Advanced” tab, and click on the “Kernel Version” link. Click on the “Check” button to check to see if you have the correct version of the kernel.
