When we do the program in our head, we are all in the same boat, like we’ve just hit the button on the keyboard, and that is the way we spend our time. We have so much more to do, and we can’t do it all in one go. And it’s really important for us to be able to go into the program and do it right the first time.
After the first day, the computer is probably not going to do it right the first time or, of course, its not going to do it the first time.
It’s also important for us to remember that the computer is going to be doing the job you asked it to do. So instead of thinking about the program you’re trying to do, think about the job that the computer is being asked to do.
The more we can say about the computer being asked to do something, the more we can say about the job it is being asked to do. The less we can say about the program we’re trying to do, the less we can say about the computer we’re trying to do the job we were asked to do.

That is one of the many reasons that programming is so hard. It is so hard because we can’t ask our computer to do anything if we don’t know what we are asking it to do. Or at least we can’t tell it what to do. The way to do it is to find out what it is doing and why it is doing it. And then tell it to do it.

Programming is one of those things that is so easy in theory it is not even a wonder. We can write a program to do something. But there is no reason it would be doing it. And just like programming is so easy in theory it is not a wonder, it is the exact opposite.
I hate to say it, but programming is much harder than it looks. In fact, I am very surprised that we cannot come up with a way to accomplish the task we are trying to do. I had no idea it was as hard as it was.
